My moustache hairs came from my thinning head. In a weird biological process that I don't understand hairs on top get sucked in and pushed out of holes in my face. Very inconvenient.

Today i organised collecting a rather dishevelled looking Cossack combo.
Today and the previous days of this week, I've been building a new main tripod for my Vickers. Hopefully have it useable (abiet, probably not 'finished') for this weekend's WW2 Ops Weekender at GMA Tuddenham.

.. blancoed my 37 patt pistol holster and ammo pouch... and the sink, and the drainer rack, and some cups, and the kitchen window cill. fecking stuff.
Been there, done that. Vowed never to do it inside again - fortunately Frau Steiner was out at the time, but I ruined a knife I used to cut the cake in half.

Rigged up my plash 'tent' for thw weekend to see if it works. It should, as long as there are a couple of trees I can use as tieing posts and they're more stable than what I used to today -a bird table & washing line pole . However I discpvered my plash-palatka isn't quite long enough for me so will have to button my zelt to the end to cover my feet. 
begane breaking in my jackboots. Wouldnt belive the looks you get when wearing rather loud heeled boots, green dress pants n dress shirt to the shops XD! (turned my old militery gear into a casual set, but it works with these)
Stripped my M1 helmet shell back to the original paintwork and corking. Off to get some new paint in a bit.
In my usual last minute style I finally blancoed my webbing for Ariel, finished about 10 minutes ago, just waiting for it to dry.
Finished the last few helmet covers for Ariel, fetched ammo for people, charged some batteries, started trying to economise on the amount of kit I'm packing for Ariel!
